Ülemiste Centre Becomes Estonia’s Largest Fast Charging Point for Electric Cars

18.07.2024

In Tallinn, the Ülemiste Centre’s indoor car park has started operating with seven 50 kW and one 22 kW electric car chargers from Enefit Volt, as well as one 22 kW and one 50 kW charger in the outdoor car park, with future power increasing to 120 kW. Now, 20 electric cars can be charged simultaneously at the Ülemiste Centre.

“Ülemiste Centre is a central hub in Tallinn, easily accessible and frequented by residents of Tallinn, nearby municipalities, and people from all over Estonia. The wide range of products, services, and entertainment options at Ülemiste is ideal for those who want to find everything they need in one place, as well as for those who simply want to take a break and treat themselves to something nice. It is important to offer all electric car owners a convenient opportunity to charge their vehicle at the same time,” said Guido Pärnits, the CEO of Ülemiste Centre.

Viljar Kont, the head of Enefit Volt’s Estonian market, said that when planning new charging points and updating existing ones, the Enefit Volt team always ensures that the use of chargers is convenient and easily accessible for electric car owners. “We install Enefit Volt chargers near grocery stores and shopping centres so that visitors can leave their car to charge while taking care of other errands. This can significantly save time,” said Kont. “Compared to ultra-fast chargers, charging at fast chargers is more affordable. At the same time, the charging speed is sufficient to accumulate enough driving kilometres during a visit to the centre,” added Kont.
